About The Artist
Sherri Blum, CID
Certified Interior Decorator

Sherri Blum has always been the
artistic type... she's been seen doodling and sketching since
she could hold a pencil. Even during childhood, several of her
sketches and paintings were featured in local exhibits and
shows. Friends and family had encouraged her to seek a career
as an artist from a very early age.
After several years as a high
school teacher, Sherri decided it was time to pursue her
dreams, and began her own interior design company, Bare
Walls Design Co. in 2000. Sherri loves designing beautiful
rooms for her clients. She coordinates paints, fabrics,
furniture and accessories with ease and creates unique and
wonderful rooms. Not long after beginning the first company,
she opened Jack and Jill Interiors which specializes in
the design of children's rooms. She especially enjoys
decorating children's spaces because she can interact with the
child to discover his or her unique personality and express
that personality through her room design. She also thoroughly
enjoys painting whimsical designs, and decorating for children
allows her more opportunity to do so. This life-long love of
art and whimsy led to the creation of her designer line of
children's wall art and hand hooked wool signature rugs,
Sherri Blum Designs which opened in 2003. The line
consists of various sizes of canvas wall art, wall clocks,
wooden signs and hand hooked wool rugs. Every style and color
scheme imaginable has been covered, ranging from modern design
to traditional and whimsical. Themes range from sports,
animals and transportation; to princesses, tea parties and
ballerinas.
Sherri's designs, advice and
exclusive line of hand painted children's wall art have been
featured in numerous print, television and online publications
including HGTV, The Tyra Banks Show, Decorating Spaces
Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine, Pregnancy Today, Baby Zone,
Costco Connection, The Examiner, ePregnancy Magazine, The
Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Vermont Home Style,
and many more. Her decorating tips were requested and
published in a book entitled Mothers Know Best and two
of her nurseries along with her wall art, are featured in the
latest edition of the popular nursery design book, Ideas
for Great Baby Rooms by Sunset. In November 2007, three of
her designs were featured on The Tyra Banks Show in a
celebrity style nursery makeover. Her artwork has been
commissioned by or gifted to celebrities such as John
O’Hurley, Angela Kinsley, Marcia Cross, and Bart Scott.
Sherri has some grand plans for new additions to her designer
line in the coming months, so check back frequently for the
exciting updates.
Sherri has a Bachelor's Degree
from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate
of DTI, Decorator's Training Institute. She has completed the
highest level of training and certification from C.I.D. and is
a Professional Member of Certified Interior Decorators
International.

trade" conditions? We work directly with our factories to
ensure that the factories adhere to common fair trade
conditions such as fair wages, healthy working environments,
and no employees under the age of 16. Unannounced inspections
ensure that these standards are met. We pay more for our
products than many of our competitors who don't worry about
these standards, but we believe it's worth it to bring you the
highest quality products produced in the best environment
possible. We have also reduced our packaging materials
and try to use packaging materials that contain some level of
recycled content. We're doing what we can for the environment
and hope you will continue to support us and our efforts.

Celebrity Nursery Designer Shalena
